online elemental analyzer over conveyor belt in ore processing mine

Laboratory-Grade Analysis Brought Online

Typically, clinker analysis is carried out by collecting the samples and analysing them in the laboratory by means of XRF, XRD and wet chemistry. However, the delay caused by sample collection, preparation and analysis prevents timely process adjustment. To address this, Lyncis has developed the World‘s first online clinker analysis method based on LIBS technology.

Applications

  • Free lime (f.CaO)
  • LF, SR, A/F, C3S, C2S, C3A, C4AF, CaSO4, LSF, liquid phase, burnability index, SO3/Alk
  • CaO, SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, MgO, SO3, Na2O, K2O, TiO2, P2O5, Mn2O5 and SrO

Benefits

  • Stable clinker quality
  • Reduced energy consumption
  • Reduced CO2 emission

The Power of LIBS Technology

LIBS technology excels where other online analysis methods struggle. The LIBS spectra contain emission signals of atomic and molecular species present in the material, which allows not only for elemental analysis but also for mineralogical analysis, eliminating the need for XRD analysis with lengthy sample preparation.

Clinker LIBS spectrum in the range of 234 nm – 792 nm.
